Community Outreach
At WAMU our calling is to connect with others, demonstrate God’s love, and share the message of Jesus Christ. The purpose of our ministry outreach is to extend God’s love and compassion beyond the walls of our churches and homes, actively seeking opportunities to meet the needs of individuals in the communities. We believe Growing in faith and discipleship is a key. Our Outreach programs provide opportunities for individuals to deepen their relationship with God, grow in faith and service. We mainly focus on;
Bible studies with the youth and adults
Children’s outreach through Sunday school
Community youth ministries through sports and Christian counseling
Evangelism and church planting
We are currently in Bugiri District working with Nakavule Lutheran Church and School. Nakavule Lutheran Church of Uganda is a confessional Lutheran Congregation and a member of the Lutheran Church of Uganda, Eastern Deanery. Nakavule Lutheran Church and School is situated in Nakavule village along Nankoma Road, Bugiri District Eastern Uganda. The church has over 600 members baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.
Rev. William Waiswa, who pastors Nakavule Church, was born on 23rd November 1989 in Nakavule Village. He graduated from the Lutheran Theological College Uganda and currently, he is pursuing a Master of Arts Degree in Theology at Concordia Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA. William and his wife (Christine) are blessed with a son (Tobiah Liam Moses). He joined Nakavule Lutheran Church in 2022-present.

Building Teamwork and Character
Sports are an integral part of our ministry, providing a fun and active way for children and youths to learn about teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Through friendly competition and physical activity, we teach biblical principles in a context that young people understand and enjoy.

Through vibrant gospel outreaches, we bring Christ’s love to life. Music, dance, and drama serve as powerful mediums to communicate biblical truths, resonating with young people’s hearts. These creative expressions entertain, educate, and inspire, drawing more youths to discover the joy found in the Gospel.

Guidance for Life’s Journey
As children and youths navigate the complexities of growing up, our Christian counselling services offer a safe space for them to seek advice and support. Our counsellors are trained to address various issues from a biblical perspective, offering wisdom and comfort to those in need.
